About this practice test
A full-length mock exam that mirrors the real test:
- Practice format: 50 questions · 1 hour
- Pass mark used here: 70%
- DCJS requires a passing exam for the 8 Hour Pre-Assignment and 16 Hour OJT courses, but each approved school gives its own test; no official question count, time limit or passing score is published
- Legal questions use NY CPL §140.30–140.40, Penal Law Article 35 and General Business Law Article 7-A as of 2026
